Tara Wolfson

Tara Wolfson is the Director of the Idaho Office for Refugees. Tara brings together organizations, agencies and business leaders to build employment and training opportunities for refugees. She recently co-founded Global Talent Idaho, a new workforce development initiative to enable highly skilled refugees and other immigrants to successfully integrate into professional roles in Idaho.

Tara has proven that unlikely outcomes can be accomplished through strategic planning and hard work. Tara built several non-profit organizations and political campaigns from the ground up. She has been instrumental in bringing together people with often-divergent views, from Palestinians and Jewish Israelis to environmental leaders in the U.S. Tara has managed and worked on legislative, ballot initiative, school board, mayoral, congressional campaigns in Idaho and San Francisco. She was a recipient of the prestigious Coro Fellowship in Civic Leadership in San Francisco and a graduate of the University of Vermont.
